Your own private restaurant for your Christmas party

Kilkenny is well served with good restaurants and there's been a number of new additions in the recent past. The Bridgestone 2008 Guide to the 100 Best Restaurants in Ireland points out that there's "increasingly stiff competition in town these days, notably from the fine cooking in a hip room in Café Sol". Cafe Sol has been in Kilkenny since 1995 and before that in Bennetsbridge. Over the years it has earned a reputation for quality fresh food and is now open 7 nights a week for evening dining. So if you're looking for great food in a hip restaurant in Kilkenny city for your company or departmental Christmas party, just call Café Sol on 056-7764987 to discuss your requirements.

Help create some Roolaboola magic

RoolaBoola, the Linenhall annual arts festival for children, is nearly on us again. RoolaBoola is one of the country’s finest arts events for children, catering to almost 6,000 children and their families each year. There are a number of ways in which you can help out. RoolaBoola is looking for adult volunteers to assist with marshalling duties at the night-time lakeside fireworks spectacle Lough Lannagh Lights, taking place on the evening of Monday October 27 (bank holiday) as part of this year’s RoolaBoola Children’s Arts Festival. The festival will need volunteers for a maximum of two hours on the night, and also for an induction meeting on Thursday October 16 at 8pm in the Linenhall Theatre. It is very important that you let organisers know your names in advance of the meeting, so if you are interested, contact the Linenhall as soon as possible.
